What should I wear?

We require closed toed shoes! Otherwise anything comfortable that will allow you to move freely and lift your arms behind/over your head without issue. Avoid large jewelry like hoop earrings.

Where are you located?

105 Washington St SE Suite 100, Huntsville, AL 35801 next to Fubar/Miller’s Tavern/Whiskey Bottom and across the street from the The Garage @ Clinton Ave and Sammy T’s. Diagonally across from The Bottle, and Humphrey’s, etc. We are a walkable distance from all bars, restaurants, and shops in downtown Huntsville, AL.

Where should I park?

The easiest place to park is the Garage at Clinton ave., on the street off Washington or Clinton Ave. (just make sure you avoid parking in the Taxi Only Tow-Away spots).

How long are the sessions?

Our sessions generally start at 1 hour of axecitement! We offer 2 hour sessions for larger groups as well!

What is your Age Minimum?

18+ with a signed waiver. We do allow minors from ages 13-17 to participate with presence of a parent/legal guardian whom must sign their waiver and be present.

Can my underage child come and just watch?

Due to the inherent risks of axe throwing we do not allow children under the age of 13 in the axe throwing area. They may wait in the lobby with parental supervision.

Do you serve food or alcohol?

We have a permit to sell canned beer & wine and will eventually have a bar in our second floor suite. We do allow outside food and non-alcoholic beverages to be brought in and we have refrigerators and a vending machine on site. Is axe throwing dangerous?

Like any other sport, Axe Throwing can be dangerous if not done correctly. We have axeperts on site to coach you through safety briefings, how to throw, games, etc to ensure your safety.

Do you provide the axes?

Yes. We provide axes of multiple types for you to learn to throw with. However, you may bring in your own as long as we deem it is safe to throw with in our facility.

Walkins | $20 per person (group booking not required)

  • Minimum of 6 people

Corporate/Large Group Rate | $30 per person

  • Minimum of 16 people
  • 2 hours of throwing
  • Four Reserved Targets
  • Two Axe throwing coaches
  • Ability to bring in outside food/non-alcoholic beverages

How heavy are the axes?

Most of them are between 3-5lbs and easy to throw. We do have multiple types of axes - So, come in and practice throwing and we can help find out which one is right for you!

Do you sell axes?

Yes, we sell multiple types of axes, knives, t-shirts, hats, and other retail related items. A lot of these items are from local vendors or unique handmade places that are 300+ year old fjords in Sweden/Norway (Hults Bruk/Helle). We are an official certified dealer for Hults Bruk and Helle!

Do you sell gift certificates?

Absolutely, they are available for purchase at https://rockaxecity.checkfront.com/reserve/.

Can I just walk-in or do I have to book online?

You can definitely walk-in at any time during our normal business hours, but targets/lanes are subject to availability. We always make sure that we hold lanes for our reservations. Booking online also tends to come with greater discounts than walk-ins!

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer a 20% off discount for Military/ Veterans, EMT/First Responders, and Police using the code VETS at online checkout. We may ask to see ID at check-in. For any other special discounts keep up with us on social media via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc!

Do I have to sign a waiver every time I come in?

No, once you've signed a Release of Liability Waiver it is good for 2 years. We will be able to pull your waiver up by name/account when you come in.
